As part of my overall philosophy of conscious living, I offer evidence-based kids yoga teachings (Kidding Around Yoga or KAY) to share the ancient practice of yoga, meditation & mindfulness with children.

While practicing yoga, children exercise, play and connect more deeply with the inner self. Yoga brings that marvelous inner light that all children have to the surface.

A typical yoga class incorporates singing, jogging, limbo-ing, dancing, games and so much more, all woven into the original songs that have been created for our little ones. They don’t even notice that they are practicing yoga, meditation and pranayama (breathing), they are simply having so much fun. All classes end with the glorious trip to “The Peaceful Garden” where kids get that much deserved break from their day. 

Kids Age 3-6

I teach 3-6 year olds about their growing bodies through the practice of yoga. By incorporating music, crafts, picture books, puppets and other age appropriate props, I keep children engaged while enhancing language development, motor coordination and listening skills.

Kids Age 6-10

For 6-10 year olds, these classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness and self exploration. As your young yogi begins to grow in his or her practice, these classes offer more flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation as well as interactive yoga games and partner work.

Kids Ages 8+

Yoga can be an extraordinary avenue and resource for children as they start to reach pre-teen years.

Yoga builds strength, increases flexibility, increases coordination and balance, builds core stability, and can help pre-teens posture rebound from a day hunched over a desk, smartphone and carrying a heavy back back all day long.

  • 45-60 minutes of a special yoga class, depending on age.
  • 15-20 minutes of a no-mess craft project (this can be your party favor too!).
  • 10 minute closing circle to celebrate your child!
  • 40-50 minutes of a special yoga class, depending on age.
  • 10 minute closing circle to celebrate your child!
  • You can also purchase a special yoga mat for your child that their friends can decorate with them for $10
  • up to 45 minutes of a special yoga class, including a 10 minute closing circle.
  • 45 minutes for cake & gifts.
  • Help with set up & clean up so you can enjoy yourself with your little one!
